Holiday Rice Krispie Treats
Here's a fun and easy holiday recipe you can make (with some adult supervision, of course)!
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 oz (or 4 cups) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- Optional: Sprinkles, chocolate chips, or candy for decoration
Instructions:
- Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
- Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth
- Remove the saucepan from heat, add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until it is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Use a spatula or your hands (lightly greased) to press it down evenly into the dish
- (Optional) While the mixture is still warm, add sprinkles, chocolate chips, or candy on top
- Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then cut, serve, and enjoy!
